The motherboard needs to support your chosen CPU, the memory needs to fit in the motherboard and be in the correct configuration. The hard drive will need to have the right interface and size.

Motherboard

Some online retailers sell bundle kits or a barebones kit which include all the necessary parts. This way if you’re new to building your own PC you can be sure that all the parts are fully compatible with each other.

Audio card

Properly researching your components will make for a great customized Desktop PC, and the whole build process should run a lot smoother.
