INLine Computers is the home of my small independent web projects — browser tools, Chrome extensions, simple apps, games and experiments built by me, Mat, in the UK.

The aim is simple: build useful, lightweight tools that people can open quickly and use without fuss. Some projects are practical utilities, some are classroom or creator tools, and some are experimental games and side projects.

Many of the tools are designed to be privacy-conscious, with as much processing as possible happening directly in your browser rather than being uploaded to a server.

Tools and Projects

These are some of the main tools and projects currently being built or maintained under INLine Computers.

Early Playtest: Happy Pitch Tycoon

Happy Pitch Tycoon is one of my current games I'm working on — a cosy UK holiday park tycoon game where you build and manage a small campsite/holiday park in the browser.

It started as a fun side project and is slowly turning into a playable demo with tents, touring pitches, facilities, staff, weather, visitors and small park-management systems.

Chrome Extensions

I have also built and maintained a number of Chrome extensions, including tools for focus, readability and small browser utilities.

Games and Experiments

Some INLine Computers projects are just fun experiments, prototypes or games made while learning and testing ideas.

Dev Notes and Building with AI

I’m planning to add occasional dev notes about the projects I’m building — not a daily news blog, just honest updates when there is something useful to share.

AI tools are part of my workflow. I use them to help with planning, coding, debugging, copywriting, design ideas and learning. The final decisions, testing, publishing and project direction are handled by me.

Over time, I’d like this site to become a simple record of the journey: what I’m building, what works, what fails, and what I learn while trying to build useful independent web projects.

How this site is funded

Many INLine Computers projects are free to use. To help cover hosting, software, tools and development time, some pages may show advertising, use affiliate links, or link to optional paid versions of projects.

Where possible, I try to keep tools simple, useful and transparent about how they work.
